The street address of the property is 1001 East Jefferson Street, Rockford, IL 61107.

The Commercial property for sale or lease is perfectly suitable “as is” for any “office” use. The glass block wall panels offer genuine filtered natural lighting during daylight hours and privacy during the night. Striking decor can be altered using paint colors.
Main Level (Street Level)
The lower level features built in shelves and spacious cabinets, a kitchenette, lounging and storage areas. Owner will NOT allow modifications under a lease agreement. A buyer can do anything.
The property is located within the city of Rockford’s “Artists District” which will allow for a LIMITED residential use if desired. Several modifications will be required to convert the property to a residence but Architect / Owner will offer design and expertise to interested party.
Lower Level (Basement)

This property has been faithfully restored, and lovingly cared for. It was built in 1936 as a Mortgage Company. However, the depression made “banking” a non-profitable business soon after she was built. We have searched in vain for the Architect. NO idea. NOT Barloga (West High). NOT Bradley (Armory). Rob’s recent discovery that Flinn Middle school, by Orput, is now leading us down that path. Lynn and Rob, of Belles Firm of Architecture, Inc., purchased the building in the fall of 2002.
During the ensuing years we did the following work:
GWB Coat on all main floor surfaces Paint ALL Up and Down New Glass Block Windows on West
Repair and Seal Terrazzo Floor
